Kendrick Lamar To Livestream (Not So) Secret Show In Brooklyn

#WhatsGood

Compton lyricist Kendrick Lamar is teaming up with American Express for yet another live event.

In a video released on Twitter yesterday (December 15), K-Dot revealed that he’ll be taking part in a secret show in Brooklyn today (December 16) at the Music Hall of Williamsburg.

“Brooklyn, what’s happening? I told y’all I was coming. Let’s get it,” Kendrick says in the video.

Eager fans may be disappointed to hear that tickets to the show, which were available for purchase exclusively to AmEx cardholders, are already sold out. The venue has a listed capacity of 550.

Despite the limitedness of tickets to the concert, the show will be streamed live on the Facebook pages of both Kendrick and American Expressaccording to Complex.

In addition to tonight’s event, Kendrick performed at American Express’ #AmexAccess concert at Art Basel in Miami at the top of this month.

And alongside former NBA baller Shaquille O’Neal, the West Coast wordsmith also appeared in American Express’ #ShopSmall commercial, which made the rounds on social media weeks ago, just in time for the holiday shopping rush.

New Crimdella: Bury Me in Gold

#WhatsGood
crimdella-1
Crimdella is an old soul, brought back to the future to seek his vengeance.
He’s here to pioneer a movement of honesty, ferocity, fraternity, and monumental truth. Listen to Crimdella! There will be blood.

Bury Me In Gold vol. 1 finds a supremely confident Crimdella delving deeper into a fresh take on hip-hop he has coined #trap-power. For Bury Me In Gold vol. 1, Crimdella, aka #BlackZeusX, partnered exclusively with upstart producer MNDCFT, who takes the ambitious, unhinged rhythms of trap music, marrying them with uncanny melodies. Crimdella fuses these compositions into socially observant, blisteringly personal raps, seasoned with visionary songwriting. Bury Me In Gold vol. 1 is the Harlem emcee’s definitive manifesto.

Que
WolfSet Productions presents Colorphase Vol 1, a compilation (or playlist) of musicians’ music residing in NYC . Que Cee is an artist and maven, sharing this series of local artists that inspire him. The term Colorphase is also used to describe the the changing of wolves fur color, which changes in response to it’s environment .

Below are excepts of his writing about his philosophy on the music scene.

wolfset“Ight, so if you’re anything like me, or if you’re a friend of mine, you most likely came across Christoph Carr and the Brooklyn Wildlife and it more or less changed your fuckin life. Like, not only did what goes on open your mind to all the different types of “cool” there is, what type of talent there is, all the different ways you can appreciate art from all the different people ” “…and ya’ll are all in this harmony.”

Brent & Que2“I have really good friends, the kind of whom I never thought I would even meet or get personal with. But another thing that really did a lot for me was how when your homie who is a performer is on stage talking about things that you connect with, you and at least 10 people around you hang out with 80% of the performers, there’s this electricity going through the room…” “…So, I now have a whole roster of favorite artists whom I’ve had the pleasure of either hanging with, or even collaborating with… ”

Brent & Que
“…allow me to simply share what have become classics to me (and all for different reasons). Hopefully this will compel you follow these artists or even come out to some of these events. I promise that your appreciation for art and even community will be deeper…”
